Trend Watch: Prints
You may have noticed the sudden obsession that hipsters and tumblr bloggers have with prints. From BAPE camo in the mid-aughts, to the influx of floral prints in every streetwear company’s Spring/Summer lines, prints and patterns are here to stay. You can thank the likes of Tyler, The Creator and even Wiz Khalifa for this. Wanna stay up on your print game? Here are a few places that can help you out
Apliiq
Apliiq is a personal favorite of mine. I own numerous pieces from them, and plan to invest in many more. Simply put, Apliiq puts patches on basic clothing items, from tees to Oxfords. What makes them stand out, however, is their customizer. With the Apliiq Customizer, you take any piece of clothing you want, and apply any (they have over a hundred) print or pattern you want to it. Patches range from $5-$10 per patch. The best part: It’s cheap! Bases for tees and tanks start at $19, then you add per patch, a great deal in my opinion. They also have women’s clothing, some baby clothing, and various accessories to customize.Visit Apliiq to cop
Peerless Creatives
Peerless Creatives is a Maryland based company. They focus on not only provided you with the finest of accessories, but they also focus of giving back to the community. A portion of their proceeds goes to funding local art programs, as well as a skate park for their area. Now, to the goods. They sell handmade apparel as well as accessories. Each item is made by hand, and from recycled goods. From pocket tees, to self proclaimed “swagg belts,” rings made from recycled skateboards, even their own twist on 90’s style slap bracelets.

Sly Guild
Sly Guild is a brand I recently came across. They guys are based out of New Zealand, and provide some of the cleanest floral prints out there. Their floral shorts are amazing. The don’t just have floral prints, they have some Aztec prints, boat prints, some dope ass short sleeve buttondowns, and some clean tanks. Prices are in New Zealand dollars however, so you have to do a bit of converting, but I know the hats come out to around $53 USD

Introduction
‘Greetings, welcome to the meeting of the minds…” - Wasalu Muhammad Jaco
Welcome to The Beta Collective. We are a group of college students, with interests in streetwear and men’s fashion. We are here to provide our own thoughts and opinions on the streetwear/menswear scene, fashion forward people in these areas, as well as our own style.
Beta (β) is the second letter in the Greek alphabet, and has a value of “2” in the Greek numeric system. This is highly significant to us at The Beta Collective. This is the second collaborative effort between me and all three authors here. So we decided to call this particular effort, The Beta Collective.
I am Dave. The other authors here are Chief Rocka, Classy Deviant, and Mel. We are The βeta Collective. Welcome to the show.
